Would you describe the role and force of the body on incarnations? Specifically, how it relates to a situation where one soul has exited, and the body has been inhabited by another soul for a specific reason, and who will now live out the remaining life.

How much memory does the physical body retain from the previous soul essence?

How much of an impact can that have on the soul who has entered?

Is it in conflict? In other words, who is running the show now that the original soul has departed?

These are my questions. Thank you.

There is never a case in which no imprint has been made. There are residual effects left in every portion of the life that is still ongoing. Yet, with a new captain at the steering wheel, so to speak.

Think about body memory. If the vessel was a skilled artisan or healer, or builder, these traits remain. In order for them to be utilized correctly, the mind retains any and all necessary or useful knowledge.

Now, it may be the case that the new soul essence is not really interested in doing the same things. But the ability to successfully perform them remains intact.

So, initially at least, the life of the person who is now a “walk-in” carries on in much the same way.

There is a sense of “shock” to the body. Yet, body memory takes over while an adjustment period takes place.

The emotions of the person are not the same, however. They scramble to make sense of what is occurring, where they are, and what it is they are supposed to do. Each moment holds a surprise.

What is radically different is how they feel about both what it is they do and who it is they are doing it with. There are obvious shifts in character and responses to family and friends. After enough of these show up, these others who make up the “walked into life”, notice.

There is a period of time when a psychological adjustment takes place. It is different enough in each specific case that no timeline can be offered. Suffice to say that once the “new” “walk-in” soul gets acclimated physically, there are inevitable changes in intimate relationships. They do not survive easily, and whether or not they continue very much depends on the purpose for the Walk-In Soul.

What precipitates a “walk-in” situation is something drastic that the current soul couldn’t or didn’t want to deal with. It could be something physically or emotionally catastrophic.

Certainly, these shifts are pre-arranged by everyone concerned.

The “walk-in” will have something it needs or desires to complete. The “walk-in” shift typically occurs at an older stage and age. Yet not always. There are instances where a very young vessel housed its initial soul for days, months, or a few short years before exiting.

These cases are most often due to some sort of soul contract with the parents or siblings. Once completed, the body is occupied by another who agreed to complete the life. At these young ages, the personality is still forming, and so the switch is barely noticed.

It is most definitely noticed with older people. They look the same but do not feel the same as they once did.

The “walk-in” soul may or may not realize it is a “walk-in”.

In the current level of frequency, it is more likely to be noticed than not. It is less confusing once, and if, awareness arrives. The guilt diminishes and eventually disappears. New relationships are embraced once awareness occurs. They are sought, actually.

In general, the adjustment phase lasts from a few months to over a year. In no case does a second year pass without full acceptance and permanent changes.

“Walk-ins” have a very specific “something” on their agenda to accomplish. They will get straight to work on it because of that internal push to follow that agenda. No one has to tell them – it will emerge from within when the perfect moment arrives for it to.

To specifically respond to the question then – both body memory and emotional memory are impacted once there has been a “walk-in” replacement soul.

The body memory carries on, but without any of its prior enthusiasm or even interest.

Emotionally, very little is the same. How successfully the changes are navigated very much depends on the power and skill of the “walk-in” soul.

(As I was transcribing this, another sentence came through: “There has to be compatibility.”) What is meant by this is compatibility between the two souls who are exchanging places, not anyone else.

It is a challenge in every case. These times you are in have initiated what might be called a “flurry” of “walk-in” souls, eager to carry this new body/vessel through the current earth changes. Your question is timely due to the great number of “walk-ins” at the present moment.

Know that a “walk-in” is an advanced or “old” soul journey… These people are equipped to handle the challenges they will face.
